Esports is becoming increasingly well-known and competitive. In this emerging scene, young talents are often looking for ways to showcase their skills and develop further. In recent years, an important initiative has been formed to fight for more gender diversity and inclusion in esports. The Equal eSports Initiative has set itself the goal of supporting young female players and non-binary talents in particular in order to fulfill the ethical obligation and ensure justice by giving all players the opportunity to develop in esports regardless of their gender, origin, sexual orientation or other characteristics. Through several projects, the initiative aims to ensure that gender is not a barrier to entry into the world of esports. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of the initiative, the esports player foundation supports women and non-binary players in League of Legends and Brawl Stars every year. The support includes dynamic support modules such as in-game coaching, sports psychology support, regular fitness training, hardware support and much more. The Equal eSports funding also includes <\/span>7-day boot camps where the talents learn important routines.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the central elements of the Equal eSports initiative is the offer for the female players and non-binary talents who are part of the support program to learn from experienced mentors in esports. This mentoring system helps emerging talent to deepen their skills outside of gaming and their understanding of the industry. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mentoring bridges the gap between emerging talents and experienced experts to give the new generation of esports players important advice and support them along the way. As part of the initiative, the Equal eSports Cup was launched, which is of great value to all female players and non-binary talents, as it allows them to present themselves to the scene and draw attention to themselves. Marginalized groups often have a harder time gaining the visibility they need to be discovered by esports teams and organizations. The Cup creates a stage on which they can demonstrate their skills and potential. <\/span><\/p>\n

Through the tournament, they make contacts, measure themselves against the strong competition, develop further and draw attention to themselves.
