The esports player foundation (epf) is kicking off the new Prime League season with Team DKB XPERION NXT. This ongoing talent development is made possible by the support of DKB, which has been committed to the long-term promotion of young esports talent for several years.
At the same time, the start of the season marks an important moment to look back: Several former players from the program have taken the next step in their athletic careers in recent months.
Successful Development of Former DKB-XPERION Players
Two former key players on the team, Pasu (Jungle) and Foonesses (Mid), have been promoted to Germany’s 1st Division and will join the roster of the ROSSMANN Centaurs, who competed in the recent EU Masters.
Looki (bot lane) is also continuing his development internationally and is moving to the French second division to join the Karmine Corp academy.
Leon, most recently the team’s player-coach, is officially taking on the role of head coach effective immediately.
Top laner Niqkl has deliberately decided against moving to a higher league and will remain part of the program to successfully complete his academic education alongside his athletic development—a step that aligns with epf’s holistic development approach.
The New Roster of DKB XPERION NXT
For the upcoming season, epf is fielding a newly formed team that combines competitive prowess with potential for growth:
Richu (18), Support, Estonia
Dreilix (22), Bot Lane, Germany, former epf player
c0st0m (20), mid lane, Denmark, with experience in the second division
Xeonerr (24), jungle, Poland, internationally experienced and in a leadership role on the team
The roster composition takes into account the current competitive landscape, in which top national talents play in higher leagues at an early stage, while ensuring that young players are developed under professional conditions.
Sustainable development as a guiding principle
With DKB XPERION NXT, epf aims not only to open up athletic opportunities for talented players but also to support them in their personal development. This includes educational decisions as well as a responsible transition to higher levels of competition.
