Successful Tournament at the Newly Founded E-Sports Hof
Last Saturday, the esports player foundation made a stop in Hof. At the newly founded E-Sports Hof club, the venue was packed, the atmosphere was electric, and the level of play was high. A total of 16 EA FC talents competed against each other with one clear goal: to win the tournament and thereby qualify for support from the esports player foundation.
Tournament victory and scholarship for Sebastian “sebek_gl7” Golenia
In the final, the winner left nothing to chance. Sebastian “sebek_gl7” Golenia won convincingly with a score of 4-0, securing not only the tournament victory but also a scholarship from the esports player foundation. This includes several months of support, including financial assistance of 1,000 euros, as well as access to personalized development opportunities.
Great Prizes Thanks to Partner Logitech G
Second and third place didn’t go home empty-handed either. Thanks to the support of Logitech G, the runner-up received an Astro A50 X McLaren Edition headset, while third place received an Astro A20 X. Additionally, another Astro A20 X was raffled off on-site among all participants. A great setup, especially for ambitious console gamers.
Ideal Conditions for the Talents
E-Sports Hof provided the perfect setting with catering and organization, allowing the players to focus fully on their matches. At the start of the tournament day, a mental health workshop with Tobias Herberhold was also held, specifically preparing the talents for the competition day.
Highlights Off the Server
The event also had plenty to offer beyond the games. FOKUS supertalent Robert Brysik was on site and faced off against the community in the “Beat the Pro” format. In a panel discussion, Brysik, sports director Marcel Gramann (EA FC), and Justin “Justin10” Weißflog, a VBL player for Dynamo Dresden, discussed performance, development, and prospects in esports.
Political support also made an impact: Mayor Eva Döhla and District Administrator Dr. Oliver Bär, LL.M., were on site and emphasized the importance of such events for the region.
A Strong Signal for Regional Esports
All in all, the EA FC Championship in Hof was a resounding success. The event impressively demonstrated how important regional tournaments are for visibility, talent development, and sustainable structures in esports.
The esports player foundation looks forward to continuing its collaboration with E-Sports Hof.
This was just the beginning.
