Max “StormFury” Schaller and Felix “Rocklho” Ho take over the sports management of League of Legends (LoL) at the esports player foundation (epf).
The two former League of Legends professionals, who have shaped the DACH scene for several years, will be responsible for the entire League of Legends division of epf with immediate effect.
Felix Ho will concentrate primarily on the DKB Diamonds teams with the aim of providing all players with an optimum environment for their sporting development and will also take on the individual coaching of the players.
Max Schaller will closely support the development of all other LoL talents and, in addition to coordinating the double-digit number of coaches, will also be responsible for the operational implementation of the development modules. At the same time, both will serve as contact persons for new applicants and will implement the scouting of new talents.
Max Schaller: “As Sports Director, I can profitably combine my coaching expertise and my sports science training. LoL Germany is currently in a very good position, we have many talented players who will make their breakthrough in the coming years with the help of our development modules. We have many exciting and important projects ahead of us and I am very happy that I can count on the support of Christian Lenz and Felix Ho.”
Schaller started his career as a player in October 2015. The now 29-year-old was active as a support and top laner for various top organizations until 2019, before taking over the coaching position at OP-Innogy in 2020. Most recently, he won the Strauss Prime League Winter Cup with Hertha BSC.
Felix Ho: “As a player, I was already part of the epf sponsorship program for two years. After the end of my active career – after the Winter Cup – my new role is now a logical step towards continuing my career. The DKB Diamonds players all have a lot of potential and I’m sure that this will only be a stopover in their careers.”
Ho looks back on a 5-year career as an active player. Between 2017 and 2022, the 24-year-old mainly played for Op Innogy and E WIE Einfach Esports in the first and second divisions of the Strauss Prime League. His greatest successes include promotion to the first division of the then ESL Championship and a 5th place in the Prime League Summer Split 2020.
Christian Lenz: “Max and Felix have had a strong influence on the DACH scene as players and/or coaches in recent years, Max mainly as a coach and Felix as a player. Our talents will benefit greatly from the experience of both and Max’s sports science know-how in the future. Together they form a unique and very strong duo, and thanks to their work we have already been able to draw valuable insights from the daily development process and optimize it accordingly.”
