The DKB Diamonds are through to the quarter-finals and will face Berlin International Gaming | BIG, one of the top 3 favorites, on Wednesday at 18:00.
The path to the top 8 was not an easy one. In the group stage, the newly formed team first defeated the third-ranked team “Upper Five” before securing group victory with a win against the first-class team “E Wie Einfach Esports”.
The Diamonds faced Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16 yesterday. In a thrilling best-of-3 series, they dominated their opponents at will, especially in the all-important 3rd game, underlining their strength and ability to handle pressure.
Over the course of the year, the team has shown one thing in particular several times: it is not afraid of bigger names & if everyone can play to their potential, any team can be beaten. With the necessary bit of luck, the DKB Diamonds will be among the top 4 teams in the cup on Wednesday evening.
