Last weekend, the #DBEsportsSummit brought together 50 talented apprentices and dual students from Deutsche Bahn for an unforgettable three-day event. In a unique location, surrounded by impressive Deutsche Bahn idea trains, our focus was on selecting the best talent and creating dual career paths in esports.
Our first DB Esports Talent Summit is another milestone in our long-term partnership with Deutsche Bahn. This event not only showed that Deutsche Bahn is a modern and open-minded employer, but also how a company of this size can position itself as a pioneer in the field of esports.
DB Talent Summit Program
During the weekend, the participants were able to showcase their skills in games such as Brawl Stars, EA FC, League of Legends or Valorant to our respective experts.
Olympic rowing champion Florian Mennigen provided inspiration with his keynote speech on the right mindset in esports and emphasized the many similarities between esports and Olympic sports. In addition, Niklas Luginsland and Marcel Parcharidis gave a workshop on why it is important to be present on social media as an esports athlete.
We are excited by the potential and dedication of the participants and look forward to supporting their development over the coming year. Our partnership shows the opportunities and possibilities in esports and what a career at Deutsche Bahn has to offer.
We are now entering the intensive analysis phase and look forward to welcoming the 20 selected talents to the sponsorship program soon.
