🌐 International boot camp in Prague:
In March, we were guests at the Magenta Experience Center in Prague. The focus was on improvement and establishing routines. In addition to in-game sessions, there were also stretching and mobility units, workshops and media training. This boot camp was an important step in the internationalization of the movement so that we can reach even more talent in the future.
🏆 Equal eSports Cup:
This tournament creates a stage on which talents can demonstrate their skills and potential, as marginalized groups have a harder time gaining the necessary visibility. We are all the more pleased that many organizations have become aware of our talents through the Cup and that many players from the initiative have been included in top-class teams for 2024.
🤝 Council meeting:
In June, the Equal eSports Council met in Düsseldorf to discuss the status quo and the initiative’s vision for the future. One of the outcomes was the Equal eSports Code of Conduct, a code of conduct for esports events.
🌈 Talentcamp
In the final selection stage for the new funding year of the Equal eSports Initiative, there were 50 talents who we invited to Bonn so that they could convince us of themselves on site. In addition to in-game sessions, there were workshops and interesting panel talks by experts, which are essential for the sustainable development of the players.
🎉 Equal eSports Festival Vol.3
The annual edition of the Equal eSports Festival took place in Cologne in September. In addition to workshops for students, there were exciting panel talks on the topics of diversity & equality, meet & greets and the final of the Cup for around 6,000 visitors.
We are looking forward to another year full of successes, solidarity and unforgettable moments 🌟 Thanks to all supporters of the initiative!
