Together with Xantaro, we have launched the Xantaro IT Trials. But what is it all about? 5 talents are given the opportunity to start a career in the IT industry and are supported at the same time. Aria is one of 5 supported IT-Trials talents, plays in the 2nd division of the Techniker Prime League and works in the Routing & Switching department at Xantaro.
epf: Why did you apply for the Xantaro IT Trials back then? What did you particularly like?
Aria: It had been my goal for some time to be sponsored by epf. At the same time, I had been looking at Xantaro as a potential employer for some time due to my degree in business informatics. The cooperation between epf and Xantaro was the perfect opportunity to combine my two passions.
epf: You’ve been with Xantaro for a few months now. Can you tell us something about your experiences? Were there any particular highlights?
Aria: What is particularly remarkable about Xantaro is that every colleague always has an open ear for you. An absolute highlight for me was definitely the All-Staff in Cologne, where I was able to get to know the entire Xantaro family at a fitting celebration.
epf: Were there any particular lessons or insights you gained from the program?
Aria: So far, I have been able to gain valuable knowledge from all areas of the IT trial. This includes not only the certificate obtained for working at Xantaro, but also the coaching sessions and the bootcamp at epf. The presentations on various topics were particularly informative and useful both in the sporting field and beyond. The Xantaro IT Trials simply help me to grow personally enormously.
epf: How can Esports talent benefit from a program like the Xantaro IT Trial?
Aria: Every talent today must be aware that a successful esports career is not a gift. This makes programs like the IT Trials all the more important when we are unsure whether we should put all our eggs in one basket. It helps us to develop further, but also to have a backup plan in case esports doesn’t work out the way we imagined.
epf: How do the IT Trials help deepen your interests in IT and Esports?
Aria: I don’t think “deepen” is the right term. I would rather say that the IT Trials give me the opportunity to pursue my dream of a career in esports, while at the same time living out my passion for IT and technology, which already had a strong influence on my life before the IT Trials.
