DB Esports goes on
The esports player foundation is setting new standards in talent development – not only through tailored support for young esports players, but also through its strategic partnership with Deutsche Bahn. Over the past few days, 55 promising talents have been given the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to play esports. The 22 most outstanding talents have now been selected and will receive comprehensive support over the next 12 months. But this is just the beginning of a promising journey.
Promoting the next generation of esports
The promotion of young talent is a central component of the esports player foundation’s commitment. The selected 22 talents can look forward to a series of tailor-made programs aimed at taking their skills to the next level, both in esports and in their personal development.
The program includes:
- Weekly in-game coaching to help players improve their skills.
- Boot camps, intensive training opportunities to strengthen team dynamics and individual performance.
- Nutritional advice to provide players with optimal and health-conscious support.
- hardware support so that they can go into the competition with the best possible equipment.
- Sports psychology support to promote mental strength and resilience – an often underestimated but crucial factor.
The aim of this holistic support is not only to teach the talents the technical skills they need for competition, but also to look after their mental and physical health in order to ensure long-term success.
The partnership with Deutsche Bahn: a promotion to the Techniker Prime League
Another highlight in the collaboration between the esports player foundation and Deutsche Bahn is the support of the in-house esports team, DB Trackstars. Since the summer split, our talented young players have been competing in the Techniker Prime League, one of the highest German esports leagues under this name. Success is not long in coming: the team recently achieved promotion to the 5th league – an impressive milestone in the career of the young talent team.
However, promotion to the 5th league is not only a sporting success, but also proof of the commitment and vision of the Esports Player Foundation and Deutsche Bahn to support young talents on their way. Former DB scholarship holders also play a decisive role in this. They were the first generation to form the team and thus act as role models for the next generation.
Thanks to this partnership, the talents will have the unique opportunity to prove themselves in a competitive environment while actively representing the values of Deutsche Bahn and further expanding Deutsche Bahn’s Esports commitment in the community.
A look into the future
The esports player foundation and Deutsche Bahn have already achieved considerable success together, and the path continues to lead upwards. The next step is already being planned – and it is certain that this partnership will set many more trends in the esports community. The promotion of young talents and the rise in the Techniker Prime League are just the beginning of a promising future for the DB Trackstars and all other talents who benefit from this unique promotion.
This partnership and the support of Deutsche Bahn once again demonstrates how important the promotion of esports talent is for the future of sport and digital culture.
