Revolution in EA FC’s promotion of young talent
Germany’s biggest EA FC tournament, the MMS Next Gen Cup, is now being followed by the first league for up-and-coming talent in the DACH region. The MMS NXT Gen Academy offers 32 young players a platform. The newly founded league began play last week and is set to enrich the digital soccer ecosystem from now on. Many young talents can be found among the hundreds of thousands of players, but it is still difficult for clubs to find and subsequently develop young talent.
The concept is well received by clubs & the community
Whether through the 16 youth departments of professional clubs, calls for applications or active talent scouting – the MMS NXT Gen Academy brings together the greatest EA FC talents in the DACH region. The Esports departments of the biggest German leagues are supporting the project and sending their best Academy players into the race. Among others, Red Bull Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt & Werder Bremen shoot the round into the corner.
In the competition, the esports players first compete against each other in 4 groups. The best of them then move on to the playoffs and play an offline final at Xperion Germany at the end of the season – an absolute highlight! The Academy impressed the clubs with both the many opportunities in the clash and the on-site staging.
Mechanics of the MMS NXT GEN Academy
The Academy combines high reach through content & streams with genuine and sustainable promotion of young talent. Young players, who often remain undiscovered, are given the chance to draw attention to themselves in the matchday broadcasts by impressing with their performances in competition.
From a sporting perspective, every match day is an opportunity to improve under competitive conditions and compete with the best talents. Traditional training and preparation for the respective opponent and their strategy take place alongside this. In competition, on the other hand, the EA FC jewels should develop and gain experience.

The 32 participants are all considered exceptional talents – the performance density of the league is extremely high. It remains to be seen who will make the leap into the Virtual Bundesliga as a regular player, but it is the talents’ declared goal!
