A dual career in esports isn’t possible? Of course it is!
As an enabling partner of epf, DB InfraGO AG supports young talents and helps them learn a solid trade while pursuing their dream of becoming an esports athlete.
For more than five years now, epf has been dedicated to promoting and developing esports players in Germany. Since October 2023, it has enabled a total of 20 young talents to actively choose vocational training or a dual study program while pursuing their dream of becoming a professional esports player. An innovative concept in collaboration with DB InfraGO AG is creating new perspectives, inspiring critics throughout Germany, and striking a chord with young people.
What do DB Talents get at epf?
While training or studying at the employer’s premises, the sponsored talents gain access to esports sponsorship and the sponsorship modules via the esports player foundation. Deutsche Bahn’s young talents can apply for all titles listed in the epf portfolio. These include Brawl Stars, CS 2, Valorant, League of Legends, and EA FC. They receive individual support in each of these titles. In particular, the support services listed below enable us to facilitate a career in esports:
- First dual career in esports enabled by DB
- Bootcamps
- In-Game Coaching
- Sports Psychology
- Nutrition counseling
- Hardware Support
- Fitness Coachings
Who or what are the DB Trackstars?
The first Deutsche Bahn works team, the DB Trackstars, was founded back in 2024. Since then, the DB Esports scholarship holders sponsored in League of Legends have been competing in Germany’s largest league, the Techniker Prime League. The team consists exclusively of young talent or skilled workers from Deutsche Bahn and all business areas. It receives its own team coaching and management from the epf in order to be successful in and with a professional environment.
Together with the esports player foundation, Deutsche Bahn is taking a globally unique approach to combining esports factory teams with individual support. The sponsored players are given the opportunity to pursue their dreams and passions while completing their training with an attractive employer. Together with Deutsche Bahn, epf continues to work on expanding this commitment.
