League of Legends, Brawl Stars, and EA FC talents join forces with world-class facilities at G2
Exclusive glimpses inside the G2 Training Facility
The first stop on the tour was G2 Esports’ training facility in Berlin, which is normally closed to the public. This is where the world’s best teams train, including G2’s LEC team—one of the most successful League of Legends teams globally—and G2 Gozen, one of the strongest teams on the international VALORANT Game Changers Circuit.
The Berlin-based talents gained detailed insights into:
- Professional training routines in esports
- Performance optimization and coaching structures
- Daily routines of professional players
Particularly valuable was the direct exchange with players Mimi and Amy, who spoke openly about their daily lives as professionals, the pressure to perform, tournament structures, and personal development.
During the discussion, our talents showed great interest in the professional structures, career paths in esports, and the bootcamp’s procedures.
Joint Discussion: Berlin Esports, Non-Profit Organizations, and Talent Development
This was followed by a visit to the G2 headquarters, where a panel discussion on the future of esports in Berlin took place. Topics discussed included:
Berlin’s role as a gaming hub
The non-profit nature of esports
Supporting young talent and talent development
Career prospects for young players
Interfaces between politics, business, and gaming
It became clear that Berlin has enormous potential to further establish itself as a leading European esports hub. It is important to pave the way for young talent to enter professional structures, as the Esports Team Berlin does, and to continue promoting Berlin as a gaming hub, as the House of Games does.
Prominent voices from the scene: Tockimo & MoAuba
Two prominent guests provided particular insights:
Tockimo, an epf talent and player for G2 Nord in the Prime League, shared a firsthand account of his journey from a young player in a state-sponsored program to a professional team.
MoAuba, German champion and world champion in EA FC, spoke about international competitions, the pressure to perform, and the importance of professional support systems.
Both emphasized how crucial sustainable support, professional infrastructure, and social recognition are for the development of talent in esports.
