The Equal Esports Initiative’s talent development program is now entering its third year. The esports player foundation has been supporting talented women and non-binary esports players since September 2021.

Currently, 18 players from League of Legends and Brawl Stars are being supported. As many as 12 of the 18 players are under contract with professional teams. These include the Unicorns of Love and G2 Esports.

Due to the success of the funding program and the steadily increasing number of players, the funding will be extended again. At least 20 places are available in the third year. As last year, Brawl Stars and League of Legends players from all over Europe can apply again.

The application phase for the talent promotion program is now open and ends on 22.07. Further information on the application process and the application form can be found here. The most promising applicants will then be invited to a talent camp, which will take place from 18.08 – 20.08 at the Deutsche Telekom AG headquarters in Bonn. Those who are subsequently accepted into the program will receive a 1-year sponsorship worth EUR 30,000. The sponsorship includes weekly in-game coaching, fitness training, boot camps, sports psychology support and much more.

The Equal Esports Initiative is a joint movement of Deutsche Telekom AG, SK Gaming and the esports player foundation. Launched in September 2021, we are committed to more diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities in esports.

In the long term, we want to enable women and non-binary talents to reach their full potential, normalize mixed teams and give them the recognition they deserve.
