Return of the Equal eSports Cup
The esports player foundation (epf) is pleased to announce the return of the Equal eSports Cupthe largest League of Legends (LoL) tournament for women and non-binary players.
The competition is entering its second season and promises exciting new features and increased competitive intensity.
Teams and participation
Eight teams will compete in the new season, five of which are already seeded by organizations from the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).
These established teams will be joined by two more teams that can secure their place via an open qualifying competition.
This offers talented players the chance to prove themselves on the big stage and showcase their skills.
The regular season will serve to determine the six best teams that will qualify for the playoffs and compete for the €10,000 prize money.
Final at Gamescom
A highlight of the new season is the staging of the final round at Gamescom, one of the largest gaming trade fairs in the world.
This decision marks a significant step and gives the players a unique stage at one of the most impressive gaming trade fairs ever.
None of this would have been possible without the support of our many enablers, such as Deutsche Telekom.
Their commitment and dedication are the engine that drives the Equal eSports Cup to set a strong example for diversity and equality in the esports scene.
We invite the entire gaming community to follow the second season of the tournament and support the incredible players taking part in this competition.
