Fourth round of the Equal eSports Talent Camps – more participants and international diversity

The Equal eSports talent development program is entering its fourth year in 2024 and is once again setting standards in the promotion of young talent from the world of esports.
As part of this year’s Equal eSports talent camps, our coaches were able to accompany, evaluate and finally select the most promising esports players from all over the world over two intensive weekends.
This international initiative not only provides a platform for gaming talent, but also specifically promotes women and non-binary people to create more diversity and inclusion in the esports scene.

The next generation of esports talent

The Equal eSports Talent Promotion 2024 continues its success story with the support of a total of 22 female players from 13 countries.
This is a colorful mix of esports talents who have proven themselves in the games Brawl Stars, VALORANT and League of Legends.
With an age range of 13 to 26 years, the players bring different perspectives, skills and experiences that will enrich the 2024 promotion.
From Greece to Sweden and, for the first time, from the Middle East, the international reach of the Equal eSports Initiative has continued to expand, underlining the success and importance of this program.
The sponsorship of 22 young talents this year shows that the program is evolving year on year, providing more opportunities for players who identify as female or non-binary.

Why Equal eSports talent development is important

The esports industry is growing steadily and is becoming a significant part of the modern entertainment industry.
However, despite this growth, women and non-binary people are still underrepresented in many parts of the esports scene.
This is where Equal eSports talent development comes in by specifically supporting these groups and giving them a fair chance to gain a foothold in the esports world.
The support not only offers the opportunity to prove themselves in competitive games, but also to develop important professional and personal skills.
Through intensive support from experienced coaches and exchanges within the community, we create an environment in which talents can grow and achieve their goals.

What can the talents expect in the coming months?

Over the next twelve months, the sponsored talents will benefit from regular training, coaching sessions and tournaments that will help them to further develop their skills.
The close support provided by the esports player foundation’s coaching team and the collaboration with professional esports organizations will not only offer the players insights into the world of professional esports, but also valuable experiences that will accompany them on their journey.
We are excited to see the successes the talents will achieve in the coming months and look forward to observing their development.
The support will help them grow not only as players, but also as people and shape their future in esports.

Equal eSports talent development as a pioneer for diversity in esports

Over the past four years, the Equal eSports talent development program has proven that it plays a crucial role in the esports scene.
By providing targeted support for women and non-binary people, it helps to strengthen diversity in the industry and pave the way for new talent to enter the world of esports.
With the support of Deutsche Telekom and other partners, the program is ideally positioned to continue setting new standards in the coming years.
We look forward to the many individual success stories of the talents and are proud to make a contribution that will have a lasting impact on esports.
